Local Transportation Options

For the folks living near Lake Ballinger Center, both Snohomish and King counties offer Accessible transportation.

King county offers the Access Rides

Snohomish County offers Dial A Ride Transportation (DART)

Both of these programs require you go through a qualification process.

For Snohomish County’s Dial A Ride Transportation (DART) the process is:

  1. Print and fill out the form

  2. Have your doctor sign the form

  3. Mail the form into the provided address

  4. Within about a week of receiving your application, they’ll reach out to you to schedule a phone interview:

    1. They will call up to 2 times to schedule your appointment

    2. They will leave you messages about calling them back to schedule your appointment

    3. You have 3 weeks from the their first call to you to reach back out to them before your application becomes “inactive”

  5. After your phone interview, you will be eligible to start scheduling trips.

Trip Planning

Dial A Ride Transportation requires you schedule the trip with them no less than 24 hours before your departure.
